SUMMARY:Explore the Night: Night Hike & Guided Telescope Observing - April 22\, 2021
DESCRIPTION: .\n\nExplore the Night\n\nLet’s explore and use our night senses! Join Ella Sharp Museum and the Dahlem Center for a wonderful night under the stars! \nThe night walk\, led by Dahlem Naturalist Educator Carrie Benham\, is to help people enjoy being outdoors after dark. We intend to help you feel safe while outdoors at night\, share information about nocturnal animals and the senses they use\, and how we as humans can better develop our own senses and awareness of the dark. \nElla Sharp Museum will be providing hands-free guided telescope observing with Planetarium Operator\, Austin Edmister. We will be observing to view the planets and many other celestial wonders\, and watching the stars come out. Telescope observing is dependent on clear skies and weather permitting. \nTickets are nonrefundable. In the event of a rain day\, tickets will be applied to a rescheduled date. Recommended for ages 16+. \nPlease note\, outdoor capacity is limited as we will be practicing social distancing on the trails. Attendees will be required to fill out a health screening survey\, have their temperature checked\, and must wear a mask. There will also be hands-free telescope observing and sanitization products will be present. \nThank you for your support of two local non-profits during this difficult time. Proceeds from this program benefit both the Dahlem Center and Ella Sharp Museum. DESCRIPTION:Celebrate Earth Day with us on April 24th from 1-4pm at Sparks Foundation County Park. The event will be near the Cascades Amphitheater and the fishing pond. This is a free family event. \nJackson County Conservation District organized and is planning for live music by Kevin Nichols\, ARK Animal Encounters\, family-friendly activities and more.
