Friends of Dahlem

The Good Friends of Dahlem

In 1987, a group of dedicated volunteers decided to form an official Friends of Dahlem group that would help support the Dahlem Center, financially, in its mission to provide environmental education to the people of south central Michigan.

Over the years, the Friends of Dahlem have raised the monies needed to help pay for our part-time naturalist(s), as well as to purchase needed supplies for programs and exhibits.

The Friends often are seen at special events selling popcorn and providing food for volunteers and visitors. Their annual Poinsettia Sale is a seasonal favorite, as is the bake sale they hold during the Holiday Bazaar. Other Friends activities include lunch at our annual Work Bee and the Birds, Blooms and Butterflies Festival, cider and donuts at Goblin Walks, and the annual Valentine Tea.
