Camp Counselors (Assistants and Leads)

We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated camp counselors to join our team this summer!

Dahlem’s Outdoor Adventure Summer Day Camp is based outdoors consisting of nine 1-week themed sessions offered in June, July, and August to children ages 3 to 12 years old. Camp days are filled with activities, hikes, exploring, environmental education, games, crafts, and so much more all spent in the forest, fields, at the ponds, and wandering 5-miles of easy walking trails on Dahlem’s 300 acres of beautiful land.  We are always on the go!

  • Applicants (18+ years) must have experience working with children, enjoy the outdoors, have an interest in and knowledge about nature, eager to learn and teach. This is a great opportunity for teachers and college students who seek a short-term summer job and some spending money.
  • Weekly earnings will depend on the session. Pay range for half-day sessions is $210-$230. Pay range for all-day sessions is $420-$460.
  • Camp staff must attend mandatory camp staff training (receive $150 pay for 1 1/2-day workshop) scheduled for Wednesday June 19, 8:30am-4:30pm and Thursday June 20, 8:30am-12:00pm.
  • Camp staff must have current/valid First Aid, CPR/AED, and Bloodborne Pathogens certifications. If you need to obtain certification, Dahlem will reimburse your total online course fees up to $70. A copy of your certifications will be required.
  • Submit a copy of your drivers license or state ID for Dahlem to process a background check.
  • Submit three (3) Letter of Recommendations (preferred) or references (name, email address, phone number, and address)
