Annual Spring Work Bee

May 4, 2019 @ 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM

What is a Work Bee? We consider it to be a day that we are literally as busy as honeybees and work, work, work! It is the perfect time of the year to address any maintenance that is necessary after winter.

At this year’s Annual Spring Work Bee on Saturday May 4th; volunteers will arrive at 9:00 AM and work until 1:00 PM when a complimentary lunch will be served. Hotdogs, snacks, and refreshments are available to all volunteers participating that day!

** Please complete the form below so we know how many volunteers to anticipate and provide lunch for **

What will I be doing at the Work Bee?
Assignments are given out at the start of the day–9:00 AM. If you have an interest in something particular, let us know! Our goal is to utilize a volunteer’s individual strengths as much as possible. Here are some areas we plan to tackle:

-Sprucing up the trails, gardens, and paved walkways
-Washing windows, bird feeders, and outdoor signage
-Washing maple sugaring equipment
-Cleaning foliage and debris from ponds
-Removing invasive species like Garlic Mustard and Honeysuckle from Dahlem grounds

We welcome you to bring your own personal equipment such as rakes, work gloves, garden shears, and other tools that would help assist the process. Remember to dress for the elements!

Feel free to contact the office at 517-782-3453 should you have questions or concerns.  Thank you!
